We kept busy as we worked on finalizing the lease for the new space. We were glad to finally move things out of our home and into the new location!
We ended up getting a large number of games from a store in New York that had recently closed. We received over 2,500 games in nearly 80 boxes! We are also thankful for having amazing postal workers! #PostalWorkersAreHeroes
As we worked our way through all these games, we had a bit of recycling to do. Pretty sure the boxes were becoming self-aware at this point. Every now and then when you would walk past, a few of them would jump out at you, often in gangs of 5 or more!
If you weren’t aware, it is very simple to modify an American or NTSC standard SNES to play the Japanese version – Super Famicom. Which made it a bit cheaper to collect these Japanese games instead of their American counterparts.
Now that the space was secured, it was finally time to pick up our TVs… All of the TVs… 30 of them to be precise – Thirty, 50-inch TVs… Extra slight humor about this, the trailer could have perfectly fit two more TVs. The OCD was strong enough that we almost went back in to buy two more.
Laying the TVs out in the space really made it come alive!
We also brought in our chairs and tables for events like parties!
The last bit of fun, and one of the most important aspects of our store involved a trip to IKEA!
It ended up being more financially efficient to drive down to the cities and rent a U-Haul versus trying to ship to Fargo.
Tomorrow we’ll share the progress of building the store! Thanks everyone for following our progress!
