-According to How Long to Beat’s website the average play through takes about 2.5 hours to complete.
-Currently, about 3 games are sold per week.
-One of the first games to include a level editor.
-The game was originally rejected by Broderbund with a single line of text, “Thank you for submitting your game concept. Unfortunately, it does not fit within our product line.” After refining the game, adding color and joystick support, four publishers reached out with offers for the game.
-An early example of community created content, the built in level editor allowed for people to design their own levels. Throughout the development, dozens of community created levels ended up in the final product.
-Lode Runner was Broderbund’s second highest selling title.
