Released in 1982, Demon Attack was based on a 1979 shooter called Galaxian, though it looked more closely to part of Phoenix from 1980.

-Due to the resemblance to Pheonix, Atari attempted to sue for copyright infringement which Imagic settled out of court
-Demon Attack was Imagic’s best selling game in 1983
-The game was originally supposed to end on the 84th wave. After its first shipment, the game was changed to never end, but it never got harder after the 84th wave.
