-A lot of the character artwork was created by Akira Toriyama, the artist behind the Dragon Ball series.
-The Game Boy Color version would be the largest game (data wise) in the GBC library.
-Dragon Quest III sold over one million copies the first day of release, and brought about 300 arrests for truancy among students who were absent from school to purchase the game.
-To date it is the most successful title in the series, and one of the bet RPGs in Japan.
