Released on August 1st 1997. Mega Man X4 features two different playable character, X and Zero. Zero was playable in Mega Man X3, however, X4 would expand upon his gameplay using his Z-Saber in addition to add an alternative perspective to the storyline.
Interesting facts about Mega Man X4
-It is actually the second title released for the PS1, Mega Man X3 was ported to the Sega Saturn and PS1 with animated cutscenes. However, Mega Man X3 would only come to North America via the SNES version.
-Mega Man X4 was originally denied a release for the PS1 in North America, it is speculated that it was due to Sony wanted to focus on the PS1’s 3D technical capabilities.
