-Many aspects of Vice City were based on real world people and places, especially those belonging to Miami. The developers conducted extensive field research in Miami while creating Vice City.
-While being immensely popular and highly well-received, Vice City also sparked or rather re-ignited violence in video game arguments. Which would spark multiple lawsuits surrounding the Grand Theft Auto series and other violent video games at the time.
-The most prominent voice in these lawsuits would be Jack Thompson who would later be disbarred in 2007 after being accused of professional misconduct.
